212 Conference Golf

Format for 2003 and beyond

 

There will be five dual meets played with six varsity players. Junior varsity will consist of the extra golfers (not limited to six players). The low four scores will count on varsity and the lower team will receive the victory. The low four scores will count for junior varsity and the lower team will receive the victory. Both varsity and junior varsity records will be kept.

 

After the last dual meet, a varsity dual meet champion will be declared according to records. Ties will be broken by head to head record, Individual scoring will be based on the course rating (ex. Player A shoots 40 on a course with a rating of 35.7, the player has a rating of 4.3). Three out of the five dual meets will count towards a player's total. The conference tournament will automatically count. Player with the lowest rating (based on three dual meets and eighteen holes at conference tournament) will be conference MVP. The next six and ties will be declared all conference. A player must play in the conference tournament and a minimum of three dual meets to be eligible.

 

The conference tournament will be eighteen holes. A conference tournament team champion will be determined and top six individuals will receive recognition for their performance in the tournament. For the conference "All sport Champion" standings, half of the points will go to the dual meet champion and half of the points will go to the conference tournament champion. The conference champs patches will go to the conference tournament champions.

Thursday, May 8 will be set aside as a make-up date.

Conference tournament: Monday, May 12

Rotation for hosting conference tournament will be in alphabetical order:

2003- TMB

2004- YME

2005- ACGC

2006- BOLD

2007- MACCRAY

2009- RCW

 

Dual meet scheduling will be according to rotation established in advance. Minimum two away meets, three away meets. Rotation has been established by the conference coaches (Gary Nelson).
